Hi All,

Was given a new Tron PLayfield to give a clearing to.

It really shows hopefully the difference between factory clear coat and my clear coating...

One thing from factory is the Stern's mylar is quite thick and stiff compared to Williams / Bally's mylar.

BEFORE - Factory Clear coat.

I've got a Tron LE, and believe me want to do this to my playfiled.

All up it would be close to 6 -7 coats, same as yours

2 sets of individual clearing, but each set is about 3 - 4 coats with sanding between the sets

This thread on Pinside is a TronLE PF just done by Kruzman. Seems a global trend. I think Savage is up there with the legend. I gave you a plug on there Scott and linked your video. I also put the vid in the Tron club thread. Hope that's ok.

Your work and skills are magnificent, no doubt.
I am still stumped at how you manage to keep away the bugs. A freshly coated playfield would be an oasis for them.
If I so simply paint a pinnie leg it's as though they're watching, waiting 'till I walk away and zzzzzzzzt, kamikaze bugs are in action.

No worries, he has valid point regarding clear coating is an expensive process, but also they should at least put a better clear coat on the LE's.

Thanks, all I can say is a lot of presswork, where you see my photos and videos is not where I paint it, doesn't hurt to have a bug zapper away from where you are painting, so if they are attracted hopefully then bug upper will get their attention away.
