View Full Version : Best place to buy MAME cabinet artwork in Australia?

Hey guys, I am looking at slowly restoring my MAME cabinet this year.

Something I would love to buy would be some cool MAME themed sideart. I know about Gameongraphx, and they have some cool stuff. However, the price and postage would be the real killer.

Does anyone know of some good Aussie sellers that sell MAME style sideart? It doesn't need to be MAME in particular, just stuff like multicade artwork, something for a non-dedicated machine.

Thanks if anyone can help out. It also doesn't need to come from a professional company. I would be willing to set something up with a member if they have access to good artwork and printing resources.

Thanks!

Yes, I was just looking at his stuff via the link Ponty gave. But I must have some strange (Maybe old?) sizes - Because he doesn't have anything like i need.

I need 3 different sized Marquees for 3 different machines:
53cm x 20.0cm : Gottlieb Lowboy
55cm x 19.5cm : Challenger Lowboy (Old)
62cm x 15.5cm : Onky? Lowboy

The link Ninja Posted (http://www.gameongrafix.com/) do custom sized/text Marquees.
You just select the marquee, type in the size (cm/inch), type in the text and then go to checkout.
(They also have the option of supplying perspex)

The prices seem good,
The selection of marquees could probably be bigger - But they have some reasonable ones.
The perspex seems to be priced ok @ $20 for two sheets matching the size of the marquee.
The custom sizing and automation from the website it great.

Shipping is about $42 for the x3 Marquees - So you probably want to get a few items rather than just one.

A total of $130 for x3 Marquees and one set (x2) of perspex, including international shipping.
Not too bad, So I'm going ahead with the order! And you can pay via Paypal or Visa etc.

I would purchases the perspex locally, your paying for freight for something that can be bought in most towns

I'll print whatever you want :)

Marquees can be on backlight film or reverse print decal which actually sticks to the glass/plastic.

Seriously Spacies? You can print artwork? I am interested. I would love to get a marquee print done for my MAME cab to begin with. If I shot you measurements, artwork and whatever it costs to print, you can get it done?

Yep, email me coolcatsltd at gmail dot com

I can print anything. Marquees, bezels, side art, CPO, canvas of your family, banners, posters. Print. print. print :) For the arcade/pinball stuff I only print when I have a decent amount so it could be a couple of weeks.

If you do email me, please be specific of sizes and what you want. I can do designs but I charge heaps :p

Sweet! Do you have a stash of high-res art you print regularly? It is hard to find good art online that is high res enough to print. If you have any thumbnails of art you use regularly, it would be tops if you could shoot them my way.

I will have a look around and see what I can find to email you. Marquee to start with, but then I will be after sideart, bezel art and maybe even CP art.

Yeah that's something I need to work on and I'll update my section sometime soon with stuff I have printed and designed.

What theme do you have in mind for your cab?

Well, I can send you a link for the art I REALLY like on gameongrafx to give you an idea of what I am after. It is not the ONLY thing I like, but I do really like the style of this.

http://www.gameongrafix.com/products/retro-neon

Simple and reasonably basic. I don't like all the overly flashy ones. There is sideart to go along with it as well.

http://www.gameongrafix.com/products/retro-neon-sideart-rectagle

I like blacks and oranges and simple designs.

Those are the two coolest designs I have found online, but gameongrafx is pretty pricey.

Just checked it out (Loaded up cart with 3 Marquees).
Without the perspex, The shipping is $34.05
With the perspex, It's $42.35
So the perspex is an extra $8.30 in shipping.

For the convenience of having it supplied with the marquee and also cut to the correct size.

Also to note, These marquees are laminated and can also be backlit.

Preferably yes, but a link is good :) I have tons of art that I have done over the years I have been building cabs too.

Marquees for a standard size machine are around $20. They can be on backlight film or self adhesive vinyl. Shipping will be cheaper than the site above. I can send a large tube of art for around $20.

Cheers.

When DigDug on ebay did my artwork he asked what size I wanted. As it turned out he customized the marquee artwork to suit your machine.

Spacies, can you print the little NEO GEO mini marquees? Not knowing what it is, I guess they would be printed on on backlight film?

Cheers,
