Im thinking of converting my cyber cycles machine to run a number of of emulators. Is it possible to get the original
Control pots to work on mame, other emulators or even consoles? The pots are all 1ohm. Would love to play all the other motorbike games on this machine ??
Thx Joe

Hopefully this will help.

I would start with the Operator Manual, guessing this might be it:

http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=cyber%20cycles%20service%20manual&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCUQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.crazykong.com%2Fmanuals%2FCyb erCycles.man.pdf&ei=DeVlT7uJLK3LmAXqoqiNCA&usg=AFQjCNFY9eN6bKXBkpLWuWnBbj16bFVhdg

If you take a look on page 26 you will see the control pots - what you would need to do to convert to mame (well easiest in my opinion anyway) is to find the equivalent type of controller. ie a Driving wheel with pedal for a computer or the like and convert it with equivalent values or the like.

Downside I can see would be to that you have multiple pots to start with and this could add up on the base costs associated with it - maybe a couple of logitech controller or the like for an out of box solution.

You would then bind the controller inputs to whichever emulator you are running using the "driver" of the operating system you are running.

If you can work out the electronics the rest should come pretty easy mate.

Other people might have better ideas - Good luck with it and if you need any help fell free to pm me as it sounds like an interesting project.
