Hey guys,

i have been planning to build a JAMMA cab from scratch,
(i know it will cost more to build, but its something i want to learn more about.)
and i have a few questions for those in the know.

i've been searching for days about the topic and have been all over the Bob Roberts site,
but a few things are still beyond me, namely power and monitor setup.

1- no site mentions JAMMA setups for 240v.
Does that mean i need a stepdown transformer or a switching power supply?

2- what voltage are monitors powered by??
110v or 240v?

3- some monitors need an isolation transformer.
do i need one? where the hell do i get them?? i can only find huge enclosed ones. can you get stepdown isolated transformers??

4- would a good setup be a 240 to 110v stepdown transformer into the bob roberts setup??

5- do you need an AC line filter as per Bob Roberts and where do you get them??

umm, i think thats it. sorry my questions are all over the shop.
i'm sure i understand all the harness releated wiring.

i just have been unable to find a decent source for the power and monitor wiring.
esp with the 240/110 stepdown conversion.

if anyone can help, much love with be due their way!!

That depends entirely on your monitor and power supply. Some are 240/110 switchable, some are 110 only.

Same as 1. Depends entirely on the chassis.

Anything monitor related: ask Jomac. I'm sure he's got stepdown transformers for the 110v monitors/chassis he sells.

Get isolation transformers and AC line filters as it will help alot to weed out any monitor interferance.
