Here is a scan of a Hankin Control Panel for a fellow member. The scan needs work. The one image has 2 parts that need to be joined as it was too long for the scanner. I also did one part of it upside down accidently, white space needs to be cropped/ removed, needs to be vectorised also. It is a .tiff file, 530kb.

I was the requester for this, just like to say a big public thanks to Roxbury.

I have joined the scans to a single file and have requested another member with some vectoring skills to vectorise it for me, rest asure that the final results will be available to all.

Very close to completion on this one guys, just some final checks to be done. I have been looking into getting a local (aus) printer to do the printing. Looking at a polycarbonate lamination like mamemarque quote for on theirs, so nice and hard wearing, it's rated for floor use :)

Just gauging if there is any interest in a bulk buy? Still working out final costs but by combining an order it will be allot cheaper. Best price point will be if we can get 6 interested parties.

Cheers,
Wob

Yup, I'm keen to get some - since I only have black laminate stuff on my CP at the mo. I reckon full colour artwork wuold look great on the CP... and perhaps on the top of the cabinet too instead of wood finish.

Hmm, I could be interested in this.

1. Is this for a (centred) joystick on each side?
2. Are you doing the corresponding "player 2 side" version,
without the <1up> & <2up> buttons?

Yes and Yes, The artwork will be layered so that the 2 player side can be done without the player start logo. It will also have the Flash Bomber layered so that if you don't have that button (I don't) you can have it without.

I'll be posting the artwork when it's done, I'll post some examples of it when different options then.

OK people we are done.

First off I would like to say a BIG THANKS to Spriggy for all his vector work (he did most of the hard work :sm1: :sm1: :sm1:) and to Roxbury, without his scan we would have nothing and for printing and checking alignment.

Here are some examples of what the image looks like with different items turned on\off

You can download the final file in illustrator format from here (http://sites.google.com/site/wobsarcadestuff/home/Hankin%20CPO_Final.ai)

It's now been kindly hosted on AussieArcade, grab it here (http://www.aussiearcade.com/uploads/HankinCPO_Final.pdf) it's labeled in PDF format, open it up in illustrator to play with all the layers etc.

This is my first time hosting files on google sites, so let me know if there are any issues.

Now in regards to a bulk buy of CP overlay I am going to do an order soon, It's hard to quote exact figures without having numbers but lets say the cost will be around $25-30 + post per set (P1 and P2 side), It could come in cheaper depending on order size, also happy to combine post if there are multiple people in one area.

I can also get any other artwork\control panels printed at the same time, the discount is just maximising printing space, but you would need to have your own artwork completed sized and ready to go. Price will just depend on size, the set above comes in at around 72x18cm so you can use that as a costing scale.

So let me know if your interest, I am not looking to make anything on these, they will be sold at whatever they end up costing from the printer.

Cheers,
Beau

Thx to Wob for getting this off the floor. I wouldn't call it hard work m8 :D Not much on this one.
And as Wob mentioned, thanks to Roxbury for doing prints for artwork alignment checking over the original. We had a few tiny issues with the scan .. so he was our 'Umpire' in the end. Cheers Rox.

Once you get everyone's artwork with 2mm bleed, I can setup everyone's files joined together in one big press ready .pdf file. (one low res for quoting purposes too if needed)
That way we should be able to maximise the space we have.

With the cut lines I believe Wob was saying that the machine can cut to any vectorised line.

If you have artwork that is not vectorised, you can just leave a very thin line on your 300dpi art where you want any cuts. (I can trace over drawn lines with vector lines if u need)

Oh and I'd probably leave a mm or 2 for cut error even though they say they are smack on target.

Wow - incredible work guys.
The AA community really kicks ass, where it comes to this sort of thing.

PS: Noob Q...

If I was going to put a "48in1" into my Hankin,
how many player buttons does it use? 1? 2? 3?

Someone can prob answer this better than me, but I found this in a post of BYOAC

"Nice! No need for 6 buttons though as the board only has one game (2 with the 60-in-1) that support 3 buttons...all others are 0, 1 or 2. Unless, of course, you swap out the 48-in-1 and drop in a 1000-in-1."

I am thinking about 3 per side for mine, I sort of want to keep it original externally, but I am planning on going the MAME route, and a search of games that support cocktail show quite a few that are 3 button. So it's a form V function :)
