Just started on my first playfield restoration. I'm interested to know what the manufacturers used to seal their playfields. Any ideas ??? as it might help with what I will use to seal it with. Was thinking about polyurethane but one of you made a good point that in the future we will be cursed for using unremovable plastic. Your right. Virtually everything else on an old pinnie is replaceable except the playfield. I am thinking now of clear acrylic and a hard wax (carnuaba) as a sealer. Thoughts ??? That way you CAN do it again in the future.

That's how I did my EM and I must say I am very proud of the result and the game play is so much faster.

Got to say I am happy with my cleaned playfield and a few coats of wax..this one is for home use only.so I don't know for you..Polyurethene may be what you are after..Keep it clean and waxed...
Added I love things to be how they should be Keep the playfield real!!!
