Hey Folks,
Today i wept :cry

I was given a *VERY BADLY* scratched dvd.it was scratched only on the laser read side and i took it to the video 2000 store and payed 2 dollars for it to be polished in their fancy mahcine.
it whirred and buzzed for 60 seonds and returned me the dvd...

it did nothing :x

so a hunting the net i went and read about brasso the metal polish.
i got me some of it and scrubbed my fingers to the bone on the plastic and removed the scratches.
tried to copy with nero.no go.kept getting errors :-(
polished again.
nero again
no go
tried alcohol 120
copied and reburnt all ok.
all data verifyied and all ok!

Toothpaste is a good fine abrasive to carefully buff out scratches with..

i was checking if you only ran the alcohol data verification, because it can be as flakey as hell and can mean **** all in comparison to actually trying to extract the zips. could be corrupt zips all accross :S

zipped files are extracted and tested and verifyed and working just fine :-)
