Dude we are still no wiser.

Maybe coolspot can help you.

What kind is it, what colour is it, what does it look like?
Where did you buy it?
How many games are supposed to be on it?
Is it JAMMA?
What did you do to it to make it stop working?

So far I know you have a game box that you've pulled the hard drive out of and it has some sort of DOS on it with the above files.

I can't do a link to the original thread
maybe a mod could help me

its blue
its jamma
and its 200-in-1

hey guys I just want to start of by telling you this is a GREAT forum!!

I have tried to find the answer by reading and sending a few PM's out
a BIG THANKS to everyone that answered :sm1:

GAMEDUDE suggested I start a new thread because he didn't have what I needed and would help if anybody had it (THANKS AGAIN )

I took the HDD out and put it in another puter and the files were there
but strangely they were duplicated (one file had them all in itself and if you click the same folder inside itself it opened again and again about 50 times)some of the folders were empty:unsure
well i tried repairing the drive within windows and all the duplicates were gone and the empty folders had something in them (at this point I thought I fixed it :cry)
I tried setting the dip switches different but no luck :x
here are some pictures

"model 200 in1-3
s/n 02007-063152700
input ac 220v-240 50/60 Hz 1.4A"

I just want to say THANKS in advance

The answer is 42. :D

in the first book it was 42 , if you read the whole series you will discover the computer mis-calculated it . it had another go and the correct answer is 48 :p

It looks a bit like this:
http://www.in2amusements.com.au/shop/index.php/3/140_Blue_Elf_108_In_1_Jamma_Board

Only by the fact that it's blue.

Could be the same internals as the red ones though.

Hi metz,
I am a computer tech and while not familiar with your setup, it looks as though it is meant to boot a version of DOS or PC DOS or something. If the files you listed are the only files on the drive then you are missing a few. Make sure you check for hidden and system files. Can you post the contents of the autoexec.bat file?
It would be easiest if you contact the manufaturer and tell them your HDD failed, what do I do know? Did it come with any disks at all?

The autoexec listed in your first post has the size as 1KB - ie, there is something in it. If you open it with something like notepad and it is empty, then you have surley suffered disk corruption. As I said before, you are missing a few files.
I am not familiar with advmame but it may be possible to get this machine working by getting a copy of advmame, setup a new hard drive with a dos boot - try boot.disk.com for ideas,
format x: /s may help you. You would need to load drivers for the sound through the config.sys file, which you are missing. You would then need to find out if there are any command line switches needed to run your Jamma board.
My best suggestion, if you can't get joy from the manufacturer, or find someone with the same setup, let someone who has experience with dos based setups loose on it.
Other than that, surely someone knows how to make mame work with the Jamma boards.
Good luck.

P.S. from your photos, the hard drive looks like a Quantum Fireball - yuck. If you get it up and runninf, clone it to CD.

I hear ya on the Fireball
and thats what I need are those config files
Anybody? I can figure a ghost file if anybody has it
otherwise I'm selling it
