Can someone please help? I am having some computer problems, occasionally it reboots when i go to the bios and look at the power supply setting they all seem ok except the 3v which is only reading 0.70v. COuld this cause the problem its only a year old the power supply

Pop the cover and check for bloating capacitors... Bulgeing caps is DED mobo, more or less..

Faulty power supply can cause random reboots.

replace the power supply straight up, dont even bother pulling it to bits you wont be alble to fix it anyhow... besides at bout $40 or so for a new one, dont waste your time

while your at it check the main board for capacitors that are bubbled

if the mainboard caps are bubbled, dont even bother with the new psu

Yeah, faulty power supplies will do this everytime. Cheap ones are problematic as well. Personaly, i wouldnt buy a $40 PS. Id spend a little more and get a decent one, thats just me though;)
