Out of sheer boredom today I started scraping the paint off my crappy jamma wired cab.Under the shitty red paint was some shitty blue paint, under the blue I struck some artwork.Have no idea what it is or if I should continue.I found the word Taito and basically just lines, patterns(changing in thickness).Cant see anything else yet but its a ****ed up job tryin to get the paint off so dont want to continue if there is nothing good there.
Anyone know what it may be underneath or is there just a generic Taito cab there(if there is such a thing). Also any ideas how to remove the paint without damaging the art.

remove the paint with a heat gun bretty
very easy and quick to use once your workout how much heat to apply, try it on another cab or something else if your paranoid about damaging your good one :lol

ive got a couple of them cabs ian,
this is the best photo ive got at the moment, will take some better ones when i next get to it ;)
if your after one im pretty sure playwell in qld had one in the background of one of his recent auctions, so expect it on ebay eventually (or get in touch with him if your looking for one ):unsure
the reason for having a couple is one is vertical, other horizontal
and its a nightmare to remove the bubble to turn monitor :cry
there a bloody cool cabinet, perfect game to have it in is GYRUSS
people really freak when they see the bubble cabs in the flesh :tomato

Hows the old Citroen in the bottom corner..! Is it a DS or an earlier ID.. If an ID would be only be the second one that I would have seen in Australia..!

Classic..!

When I went looking for a Gyruss PCB several years ago the only one I could find online in Australia was in one of those cabs.

its a (rough) 1974 DS23 PALLAS fuel injected sedan :redface
i think there pretty cool but am definitely in a minority
also have 2 x DS23 wagons, 1 is a rare FAMILIALE limo type wagon, other is a SAFARI :o
both need work but are pretty hard to come by.
i hope to get one of my wagons on the road eventually and will be selling the other soon (or trying to) :tomato
