Love the sound of the real thing, puts mame to shame...

Now I've got to get a heap of 4116 ram. Bummer they use 32 chips per pcb set...

I'm dragging out an old thread here, but anyway .........

Hey Prof....you still got this board set ?

What type of cab did you have it working in ?

What mods did you have to do to the cab to get it to play in that cab ?

eg...did you get hold of a TAITO to JAMMA adaptor or what ?

thanks

Damm, talk about dragging old threads out.

but to answer,

Hey Prof....you still got this board set ?

Yeah, somewhere

What type of cab did you have it working in ?

On my test rig.

What mods did you have to do to the cab to get it to play in that cab ?

Reset mod. Added a cap and resistor for a simple power on reset

eg...did you get hold of a TAITO to JAMMA adaptor or what ?

Made my own :D

Yeah...right from the very depth's of the AA archives.

Anyway.... the reason that I asked about it is that Qix uses the exact same board set as Zookeeper except of course that the ROM's are different.

I have a Zookeeper in an original Taito cab so I was interested to know how you were able to get the Qix board set working if you didn't have an original cab, because there is quite a bit of stuffing around to be done to make that board set work in a JAMMA cab.

Thanks for the info Prof .....and if you are ever interested in selling that board set, working or not, I would be interested in it.
