Hey guys,

Nearly finished my touch scren juke.

Just wondering what is good software that supports music video and touch screen monitor with output of the video on a tv?

Just want the touch screen to stay on song selection while the videos queue up and play on the tv.

Cheers guys

Glenn

I used The Jukebox'er for my touch screen music video machine. Works well.

I use freeboxjukebox on mine. Although the newer versions are no longer free. I think it is $25.00 to donate and you get access to his private download folder for the newer releases.

Good ongoing update and support. Handles my music library flawlessly, and also supports video and karaoke.

Umm just checked his website. Seems to be hosting dilema or people arent donating enough for the upkeep.

You can download the earlier version for free. I think it was 2.2 from memory. Grab that and have a play with it to give you an idea of the layout and so on.

ahh here you go.

I personally prefer the layout and admin options, but this kind of thing is very open to personal likes. Let me know what you think.

Ill 2nd freebox its what I use and it supports split screen video on 1 and selection on the other
I have found freebox a bit buggy (the free one) but it is still the goods IMHO

Look I use Partytime Jukebox and I love it. The only problem is that if you have about 1300 or so albums like I have it takes a while to load at the start but once they are all loaded up playback is instantaneous. If I could find something better than that and Album Player then I would use it.

I'm in the brainstorming stage of coming up with a smaller compact design jukebox that I can take to parties etc and just plug in and away I go. It will incorporate everything. Speakers, pc, touch screen etc all in 1 easy to move unit.

I'm looking at doing the same thing. I have an idea to use a 2 piece modular unit.

All nicely done in wood and stained. Top unit would house the touchscreen and a dual set of speakers. It could operate independently of the base unit. Then it could sit on the modular style a base unit that houses a subwoofer, lights and wheels. Easy one plug solution and off you go. What do you guys think? My biggest issue is that I suck at design so still toying around with it.

I would love to see one that imitates the iPod's scrolling style for looking for vids. shouldn't be hard to program...

should look nice. best bet is to browse sites like engadget.com, you get to see what a lot of modern units look like and you can choose a style and imitate it.
