it is to me :p

If there is a man out there that has Escape from the planet of the robot monsters and millipede but is missing one nut and a ballsack please contact us, we may be able to work out a deal depending on shipping....

Guys we did a thread of bulk shipping games a while ago. Seemed to die a natural death. I'd be up for a couple but it's the organising and someone to to the hard yards with shipping etc. I am not your man there but I would pay up front if any deals were put down.

21st June 2006, 06:24 PM
I'd be up for a few games too.

it is because we are all over the place. if a group of ten in QLD or NSW did it it would be feasiable. For the gorup to do it, bring it to a central port and then distrubte the games adds more hassle and shipping on top of what you have already paid, thus killing the idea

yah would be amazing...
the vast amount of gear that goes cheap in the us from different sources just makes me cry

e.g ebay:

see good cheap crap like that every day.
We dont even get dynamo cabinets here in australia, which is rubbish because IMO street fighters look so much nicer in the US cabinets.
I hate the shape of our cabinets here ESPECIALLY in regards to SF's.. gotleibs are ugly, we have an overload of lowboys, vipers dont look like the original us SF's.. (saying that i dont mind em for other games)
the closest we can get to the original us SF is using a leisure and allied cabinet thats shaped as a MK/NBA

cabs like this as we all know would go for at least a grand here.. not that we ever see em

then there is the auctions:

"stuff went very cheap, the After Burner in the pics sold for 5 bucks, a Turbo Outrun sitdown for 2 dollars, they struggled with some upright arcade cabinets and they sold for a buck a piece on stuff like operation wolf, defender went for 60, golden tees went for 175 upwards, the baby neogeo in the pic sold for 300! the virtua fighter 2 sold for 60, and had a great pic, the pins also sold cheap with a lot selling for the 300-500"

its horrible!!
I have thought of getting my mate to go to auctions and stock up on machines i want, then i will ship them all over from the US in one batch. I have thought of sending machines from ebay to him and getting him to ship those also...
its just not viable to do it tho.
the only way we could really get away with doing a mass ship over here is to buy cabinets from one store..
so if someone can find a store online with games we all want then maybe we can start there lol

Hamish bought from Coinopwarehouse - Lloyd often has some very good deals

yah looks like there is some nice stuff there
whats a container load of arcade gear going to cost to get shipped to sydney though..
i get on very well with steve from highway, i could get alot of info out of him on who they use international and how much it costs per container
is it worth asking, or you guys got a good idea?

Don't know how to do the flash little links things, but have a look at the thread above. Just type in importing under search and you will see the last thread about this topic there. There are a list of prices about containers, import taxes, duty etc.

Oh shit it worked.:D

hmm i read through that whole thread..
supposidly 32 machines is a container load.. dont know how much that can very with machine size.
seems much cheaper from china for a few kinda obvious reasons..
stil the same old point.. as if we are going to find a place with 32 machines we want between us.. ?
