at least the BOOTLES
picked up this beauty a couple of weeks ago from aussie ebay (vic) :o , first pic is from the auction page :rolleyes
its been on my wanted list for years and years :cry
its a 1967 williams BEAT TIME pinball :D
this ones a bloody beauty as its been sitting in a warehouse for 20 years ( first pic is before i owned it ), backglass is really nice especially for a 60s WILLIAMS, cabinet is all original paint and playfield is pretty clean (does have lots of swirl marks), i set game up the other day and the bloody thing still works :badgrin
its a better game than what i thought it would be to play as you have to light up numbers on the record for extra scoring features by hitting rollovers and targets.
also has extra ball feature and the target in centre of playfield actually turns 90 degrees when you hit it revealing another number,
pretty cool hey :p

hah, kickass score!

How much did you pay for that?

Looks like a reasonably fun game, though I think some varitargets at 11 and 1 o'clock would have made things more interesting.

As has been said the artwork looks fantastic too.

Actually the Beatles stole plans for this prototype years before it was to be built and liked the name and design so much that they decided to copy it however when signing their contract with Apple Records there was a typo on their name which went unnoticed and as the name was thrown about so much the band forgot where their initial inspiration lay. The Bootles were the originals. They've been tied up in Old Man Jenkins' wardrobe for almost 50 years now and the only evidence that they ever existed is within the artwork of this pinball.

was the only bidder at starting bid of $1300 :D
seller had zero feedback and had just joined ebay and i asked him 3 times for a location of game with no response :( but i bid anyway as i really wanted this bloody game and was hoping it was genuine :o
so may have seemed a bit dodgy, thats why my mate (thanks gunnar) picked it up for me and paid cash at pickup :badgrin
seller turned out to be a good guy in the end though
there was another BEAT TIME on oz ebay in QLD last year, i got outbid on that one and my high bid then was $1550 :cry
am very glad i missed that one now:badgrin
thanks guys:p
