Mamejay, tell that chick in your avatar to get the f off the pinball, not only is she blocking the view she might damage the delicate angle of the playfield!

Dito to RX11 Dorian,

Just wondering what the current price on these is or alternatively if you can recommend something else.....sorry going to look at a local cab tomorrow and if all goes well will own it after that (hehe)....hopefully my mate will get jealous though (remember the one with the wife who said no!) and then he will want to buy one as well.....and if he does then I will steer him towards one of yours.

Anyway the one I am looking at is in excellent knick I think although monitor colours are a bit out (degaussing may fix???) HOWEVER it only has a 4 in 1 board in it (what a waste of space!) so I will be getting a better board for it and was looking at a 48 in 1 but then though I might even go a 60 in 1....I have been getting into slap fight lately but cant seem to find a XX in 1 board that has this for a vertical monitor and flipping for cocktail.

Anyway back to the matter at hand.....whats the current price for a 48 in 1?...or would you recommend something else?

Cheers mate

I could be wrong but that "waste of space" 4 in 1 could be valuable:unsure

am I missing something??....doesnt the 48 in 1 have all the games that the 4 in 1 has anyway?....why buy a 4 in 1 when you can get and extra 44 for not much more??......is it a copyright thing?

I will prob hold on to the 4 in 1 at this stage (I am a horder!) but also want to get a 48 in 1 (or 60 or what ever you suggest would be best Dorian?)

Fish Tales
16th June 2008, 05:17 PM
Correct me if I am wrong but isnt the 4-1 in licensed and genuine? Or I am confusing it with the board worth 300 or more?

shooter
16th June 2008, 05:38 PM
the 60 in ones are flash based ones i think where as the 48 in 1 is all on the chips (less likely to fail).

WOKA
16th June 2008, 05:44 PM
First there was

4 in 1
9 in 1
39 in 1
48 in 1
60 in 1

All are X in 1 multiboards, (not genuine), and its just the process of evolution I suppose.

The 4 in 1 is just a nice basic set of games.

I don't believe that the 60 in 1 is flash based, 99% sure its hardware based, just a few newer versions of some of the classics.

For prices for members try: Aussie Arcade Member Prices (http://www.aussiearcade.com/showthread.php?t=10502), this is listed on his sig, so just look somewhere where he has posted.

On it right now it states the 48 in 1 is $125, which I think is a pretty good price from what I have read. It's not a bad idea to turn up to the shop and mention your a member. Your sposed to say who you are, but they never asked me!

Dorian is brilliant for a good buy for members is all I can say!

BTW did you read my post?...any suggestions?....a 48 in 1?...60 in 1?....anything that has slap fight on a vertical screen with flipping for cocktail mode?

You are the MAN Dorian!

Think I am about 9 posts short of 30, this should make it 8.

Do you have or can you get any dedicated boards such as Galaga, Pacman and the like from that era and what sort of price do they typically go for or should I just look at a 48 in 1 board? I know sound quality will bug me in some of the games in the 48 in 1 and I will only play about 5 of them anyway.

Not a happy Guru. I ordered one of the 48-in-1 boards last month. Still haven't received it. Conveniently Game Dude's message inbox is full so I can't PM him. Hmmmm.
If this is an oversight, Game Dude, please get your arse in gear and post out that board. Thanks.

I wanted to but as I said, his inbox here on AA is full. It wouldn't allow me to send a private message and I didn't have other contact details.

anyway it arrived today (18 days to get here) so all is well.

Gamedude, might be a good idea to...
1. empty your inbox so people can contact you privately.
2. send packages by truck/car. it's a little slow sending them by camel :lol
