i don't get it

why buy games just to keep them sealed up?

Because sealed, makes a few of those games go for up to $180Au.

i still don't get it

why buy a game if you are not going to play it and just let it sit on your shelf in the distant hope it might appreicate

does the next schmuck that pays $180 also keep it sealed?

Download the torrent and save big dollars....

This is a bit like the Dedicated Cabinets vs MAME debate. Why have lots of dedicated cabinets if you can have one MAME cab..:unsure

Then again I'm a tightarse...:lol

Ric - I couldn't agree more! If you wanna be like Steve Carell in the 40 Year Old Virgin, this is a great way to get there... :lol

The only thing that matters is how it plays - not whether the frikkin packaging is perfect!?!?!

I don't see any need to turn this into a bit thing

however there is a difference between a disc sitting on a shelf in plastic and a dedicated cabinet that you can play and master

If you mostly play mame and burn torrent discs for consoles, you would have just about zero appreciation for what a complete collection is all about, least of all a complete SEGA collection for their last console.

1. Company makes game.

2. You download and play for free.

3. Glance over at the collectors market who've actually paid for their shit and say, "Hey, I play for free and I wonder what all the fuss is about".

This collection is a bit like a wine collection. The next buyer may uncork and have a drink, or he can sell it a bit further down the track.
