Hi Guys,

Can anyone suggest a solution to the following problem ?

I have installed Mamewah(latest) and all is well, but when I place the Mamewah icon in the startup folder (XP), so it will launch after windows starts, it places a bunch of config, sytem & ini files in the startup folder and causes it not to run ???

I have used this method on other mame cab's and all has been good. :unsure

I know nothing about Mamewah but... It sounds like you put the program in the startup folder instead of the shortcut to it?

Yep, that sounds exactly like the problem.

I have set up MameWah as a shell so that the PC boots directly into MameWah and I never even see Windows.

Surely, you don't think I am that much of a noobie ?? :o

Anyway I have resolved the issue.

It seems when I disabled AVG antivirus it boots into Mamewah ??
(something to do with the AVG's update procedure after a restart :unsure??)

I don't know anything about you so you may be a noobie for all I know! I never assume anyone knows a certain piece of information. That's a trap you learn not to fall into in the servicing game.
