Well I decided to change the hardware in the entertainment centre last night and did a stupid thing.
I run my amp off the arcade PSU in the cab, when I reattached the Jpac I put it the wrong way on the harness and fried the button 2 inputs with 12 volts..sigh
It still works except for button 2 on player 1 and 2, I might just have to wire these to one of the spare inputs for now.

Anybody know what the difference is between the new and older Jpac so i can order a replacement chip?
WTF is the test LED? is the the 2 LED's for sync? I "think" mines a newer one..
Anyway lesson learned...even people with some experience can **** up. :x

Give Chris from OzStick (http://www.ozstick.com.au) a call, he sent me a replacement chip for my J-PAC when I fried the same inputs, I haven't had a problem with the J-PAC since :D Chris will be able to confirm which J-PAC version you have and which chip is required ;)
