Yes but the compact flash cards are not reliable.... I have had a few corrupt for whatever reason.
If you want one they are the same price as the 1066in1.

The hardware is exactly the same the only difference is the 465 uses CF cards and the 1066in1 uses a HardDrive.

I was going to convert all the 465in1 I have to 1066in1

On a brighter note the 465in1 has some great games on it so if it stays working its great...

There is an audio jack for output and the little orange dial is volume 'on the fly'.

The rest is for the programmers.

The manual has the pinout for the PCB in it as well as the dip switches....
Its basically Jamma but you should always check...

OK around the PCB....
JAMMA connector, Audio jack (master volume pot is there as well) VGA plug, 4pin PC style molex power and right around the other side is a serial program port..

You can use these thing in JAMMA arcade cabinets with 15Khz monitors and mono sound or custom setups with PC power supplies and monitors with stereo speakers...

Yes, ATX PSU you will need to bridge the green wire (standby voltage) to GND.. That will make it stay on or an AT PSU with the normal switchy will also work.

A couple of questions:

1. Is the audio output amplified or is it line level (ie. 1vpp - 50 ohms)..?

2. Can it be set up to only allow some games to appear on the menu list..?

3. What is the current draw of the PCB..?

Hoops

1. Yes amplified, it has a master volume pot on the PCB and a sub volume that can be adjusted from the games setup menu.

2. Thankfully yes, you can turn off the crap games. you can also adjust intro music and demo SFX. Each game has full control over all settings the originals had.. lives difficulty ect...

3. **** all I guess, I never measured it but it does not get hot so thats a good indicator of low power consumption.

The credits are added at the menu screen and are not lost from game to game from memory.
Also continues work as well on the games I played.

I'm sure these questions will have been answered elsewhere,
but I can't search for "48 in 1" as the words are too short.
Sorry - but I did try!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mods... how about a "48 in 1/1066 in 1 STICKY" somewhere?

PS: I know I've missed the deal this time.. that's OK...
I'm not after a board currently.. but in the future, when I've got a vertical cab...

QUESTIONS:
1. Are high scores retained in none, some or all games?
2. Have 48-in-1 owners noticed any issues with particular games?

At such a great price, I'm not expecting "perfection"
but I'd like to know if any the following personal faves have significant issues...?

1942, 1943, Burger Time, Frogger, Galaga,
Galaga 3, Gyruss, Mr. Do, Ms Pacman, New Rally X,
Scramble, Time Pilot, Xevious.

Thanks - and sorry if these questions have been answered elsewhere... I did try to search...

With mine, high score are not kept when power is turned off.
Some of the sound in some not all games are a tad scratchy or not perfect.

I did have in either Galaga or Gyruss, the sound diminish now and then, no real issue though.

no problem..

And yes dip 3 enables score saving, it can also be wiped clean in the setup menu.

As already mentioned some games have poor sound when things get busy..

For the life of me I cant find a reason why the units speed is simply not enhanced to compensate... still... its minor when weighed against the cost...

Thank god for my original Bombjack PCB (hint Gamedude ;))
I think its an awesome price too, considering the cost of a jpac, speakers, wiring, time etc and then cramming the PC etc into the cab, plus it keeps the cab more original and you can put it in another easily.
For someone who just wants a few classic games on one PCB it must be the ultimate piece of hardware out there for the price.
Yet to test drive yet, so hoping the hype will live up to expectations.

Is there a higher spec unit that will avoid these issues? I was also curious as to whether the 1066 game systems have any issues like this? Considering one of those nice looking cabs. What's shipping to Melbourne Metro worth?

There is no better version of the 48in1.. it is what it is... Its good for the price...
1000in1 does not have the issue because the hardware is faster but because the 1000in1 uses a horizontal mounted monitor for the majority of the games it by default stretches the screen for the vertical 'CLASSIC' games...
This of course can be changed but you will need to understand the mame and setting up config files.

freight to Melbourne will be $300 give or take a bit :)

Yes if you use the computer PSU and connect the 4pin molex for power you only need the inputs on the JAMMA harness then.
The video can be 15Khz on the JAMMA or VGA 15pin on the socket on the side.
Ground is Ground so PSU or edge connector wont matter.

And yes I have them in stock :)

Is the sound better for Gyrus and Bomb Jack through the stereo jack?

When using the stereo jack does that cut off all sound going through the jamma connections?

How does New Rally X display seeing it's a horizontal game been displayed on a vertical screen?

Is there anyway to change the choice of games on these boards?

The only difference with audio is the stereo part, the 48in1 is not fast enough on some games to playback audio in some games so audio quality is the same.
Not sure if the jack cuts the JAMMA harness audio never tried it.

I don't know if you Gamedude or someone else can answer this question but what rom does the Donkey Kong use in the 48 in 1 board?
