DirkDiggler
Do the old school mame game look crap on big tv? As might get http://www.arcadeworx.com.au/product/vewlix-2-player-stand/ and play on a 75inch led tv. I mainly play older games, but that might be good for mew ones. If not might go a 32in ch stand up or a bartop 24inch. Need to find a place is picking the other ones. ideas.
buttersoft
IMO yes, old/240p games look like crap on an LCD. There are some options to make things look better on an LCD, but it depends on how complicated you want to get. EDIT: OLED might be slightly nicer, in fact, but there's a lot of hype out there and very little objective information. Besides, if you can afford to throw an OLED into an Arcade cab right now, why not buy a complete high-end setup?
Dreamcazman
Even though most emulators allow you to put filters over the graphics, I wouldn't go bigger than a 32"
redferatu
I'm really enjoying the 40 inch LCD 720p. The CRT was much more authentic, but this is super easy and is great with modern games and emulators (dolphin, ppsspp, etc.). redferatu
Most of mame should be fine with onboard. New emulators like dolphin, cemu, and new pc games get a second hand 580 or something Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk
DirkDiggler
what would that be in modern cards, if none to my liking?
redferatu
Bang for buck you are always better off with old high end than New low end. But up to you Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk

How modern do you want to go? You don't need much horsepower to run older retro stuff, a Pi is more than capable. Another option is to hack a console & stick emulators on that which is generally cheaper, take up less space & easier to configure than a PC.
