ocdcsv
Looking for some n64 games. Found old n64 console but no games so looking for a pile of good games for n64. Not after super rare etc just working games. Other option is one of those multi emu cards (all games on one game cart) Let me know what you have. coptic
Even those multi card emu are hard to find these days as collectors buy them to save having to take out the physical games from their storage my advice buy the multi at the first chance you get Sent from my HTC_0PFJ50 using Tapatalk
coptic
If your not fussed or not a collector as such the multi is the cheaper and better alternative Sent from my HTC_0PFJ50 using Tapatalk

bd008
Go with the cheaper chinese ED64. The cheapest I found on the ebay currently is an American seller. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nintendo-N64-Game-Saves-Adapter-For-playing-game-rom-on-N64-System-/201728736901?hash=item2ef7f83e85:g:xYkAAOSwA3dYN9Bx I had one of those and was able to play all N64 games no problems at all!... :) I sold it with most of my N64 stuff except for a few games that I can not sell it seems! :unsure
ocdcsv
Thanks for the info Looks like a rip off of the everdrive. Wonder if anyone has a spare one in aus? What games have you got left over?? PM as might be interested.
MonoJoker
Sorry for Threadcrap but just wanted to thank @bd008 for the link to a cheaper version of the ED. Been umming and arring over getting a few of these for each of my retro consoles so I can leave the games unmolested (and of course play games I can't source/afford) and this is the answer to those prayers LOL. Was going to offer @ocdcsv if you wanted to do a group buy we could save freight but at $2.50 it's a bargain for shipping! Cheers guys.

A nice and cheaper alternative to the Everdrive. Any ideas if there's one available for the NES, SNES, or Megadrive/Genesis? Cheers :)

bd008
Thanks for this as well! A nice and cheaper alternative to the Everdrive. Any ideas if there's one available for the NES, SNES, or Megadrive/Genesis? Cheers :) All these Everdrive devices are really only designed for use with original hardware. If you start using them on clone consoles like the Retron 5, it will probably not work. Most Mega Drive everdrive carts also include support for Master System, 32x and some Sega CD roms. For the Mega Drive if you already have a spare sd card: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MEGADRIVE-MEGADRIVER-Super-Save-Cart-Development-for-MegaDrive-PAL-NEW-/122392537893?hash=item1c7f29eb25:g:RyYAAOSwxp9W12ig For the Mega Drive if you need a sd card: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Everdrive-Sega-Megadrive-Genesis-32X-Flash-Cart-8Gb-Sd-Card-Mega-Drive-Retron-3-/132115443589?hash=item1ec2b1af85:g:TpkAAOSw5cNYIknC NES there is plenty of options! Even cool cases  http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nes-N8-game-cart-everdrive-Sd-Card-Game-blue-shell-China-Version-/192090163978?hash=item2cb9774b0a:g:k2QAAOSw8gVYBfKA Although I found them to be too expensive unless you want every game and special online homebrews. If you are just after the most popular titles, the multi carts are really better value for money. I had one like this: http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=5&threadid=157123 Mine was green though. Good little cart to just leave in the console, as it had most of the popular titles. I bought mine for @$30, 2-3 years ago. They are rarer now it seems and more expensive. Cheapest I saw was $50, still cheap :) There are 400 in 1 and now 500 in 1 carts. Although reading through these carts game lists, the quality titles are lost amongst the mess. There also seems to be doubles and the crappy chinese versions of games nobody played, how versions of mahjong is there on these? :unsure Super Nintendo, I would not recommend getting an everdrive for as some of them can not play all games. Long story short, certain games used special processor chips in the cartridge to enhance graphics or game play. Like Super FX chip. This has made emulation for these games more difficult. This is why most honest sellers will tell you not all games are supported. This video gives a simple overview as to the problems.
