Indiana Jones Pinball Adventure Reset Problem

RetroBorg

Question

When I first turn on my Indy and start playing, the machine will continue to reset itself randomly for the first 10 minutes, after that it plays flawlessly.

It's as if it needs to warm up a bit before it works properly.

Anyone else ever had this problem or might know what causes it?

I think I might have found the problem on the PinWiki, looks like it's a failed thermistor, whatever that is, lol.

The thermistor has a high resistance when cold and the resistance rapidly decreases as the part warms up. When warm, the part is very low in resistance, nominally an ohm or so and it is effectively a short circuit.

The idea is that the inrush of power to the machine is minimized at switch on and this prevents possible damage to the power supply components.
