Circuit boards composition

I have never heard of that. But anything is possible. All the old boards I worked on had a fibre glass core material.

 

Old bakelite panels from the 40's to 70's did have it in them,but would only be released if you drilled into the board....nasty stuff. Also the old heat proof cable covers where asbestos ! As an apprentice it was my job to spray them with CRC, remove the cable covers, and replace it with fibre glass tape ( no make ) the asbestos would end up as a milky white paste on my hands ( no gloves ).....but apparently it wouldn't kill me as it was not an airborne fibre ! Ah the wonders of CRC spray !

 

If in doubt, dont touch it !
