Price Check on Freddy A Nightmare on Elm Street

Hi Guys,

Just wanted some advice on the price of a Freddy: A Nightmare on Elm Street pin.

I am waiting on the owner to send me some good pics. He wants $3500 for it.

It has been sitting in his shed for a few years. I don't think he is a pinhead. He just got the pin for the fun of it and because he could (so it may not be in the best condition).

Lets say the playfield is in good condition, slight wear on the cabinet and all boards are ok.

I don't think that pin is worth that amount.

What would you pay for this title?

Thanks

Thanks guy's. That was the ballpark I was thinking of offering.

Just didn't want to insult him with a offer that he would think was too low.

Now I will:D

Let you know how I go.

lol, yeah you probably will if he purchased it retail.

Ahhhhhhh ........ Nah .

Gottlieb's are Shite , but that's just my opinion .

Yeah, that's what I thought! But I've seen a few sell for just over the 3000 mark in the past couple of years. Not amongst collectors, though.

Right. It's like Turtles. Fans of the theme go nuts for them. Pinball people generally avoid unless super cheap.

Meh. Clunky with endless multiball. Good looker though.

I'd say 1.5k to 2k. Look for wear around the boiler entrance, bumpers and that usual spot just above the flippers that most Gottliebs get. I love the theme and bought the game based on that. It's a great looking pin - unfortunately, the game play just isn't there. Very easy and very shallow. A couple of ok shots but overall it gets old pretty quick. Having said that I'd probably own one again just cause it's Freddy!

If you like hearing "Shoot the Pyramid " endlessly .

Otherwise I tend to disagree .

There's a way to disable the "Coaching" at the start of the game by holding one of the flipper buttons in, or something like that.

No. Didn't get it, it's very close to me.

It has been listed on the buy and swap site for about 3-4 weeks, Its just not my type of game.
