Many thanks for uploading these much appreciated looking forward to a Mame106 dat file. Have you had any luck with PGM games I managed to get Demon Front running in FBA but it only ran at half speed.

      - SNK Neo Geo (Complete Set + BIOS without clones or hacks)
      - Capcom Play System (Complete Set without clones, hacks or Japanese Quiz games)
      - Capcom Play System 2 (Complete Set without clones, hacks or Japanese Quiz games)
      - Capcom Play System 3 (Complete Set, 2x JoJo, 3x Street Fighter III, RedEarth)
      - Kanomi Beat Em' Ups (The Simpsons + 2 Player Clone, Xmen + 2 Player Clone, Turtles + 2 Player Clone, Turtles 2 + 2 Player Clone, Sunset Riders + 2 Player Clone, Bucky O' Hare, Asterix, Violent Storm & Metamorphic Force)

Also going to create a separate DAT later for a selection of ROMs from the Advance Mame (Mame-106) set (as they run better than on FB Alpha) for the following:
Moonwalker, In the Hunt, Robocop, Rastan, Double Dragon, Splatterhouse, Golden Axe, Golden Axe Death Adder, Shinobi, Altered Beast, Gun Force 2, Blood Bros + more classics that mean something to me

Obviously this isn't going to be to everyones tastes but it's a nice clean starting point for those who don't want to download a full rom set and only play a selection of games. You can always add/remove ROMs as you see fit.

EDIT: I have uploaded the Neo Geo, CPS 1,2,3 and Konami DATS here:

      https://www.sendspace.com/file/ppxcrs

Remember, these are FB Alpha ROMS and need to go in your BOOT\roms\fba folder on your SD Card.
You should be able to make this set by pointing ClrMAMEPro towards any existing Mame or FBA ROM set you already have. If you are missing any ROMS, just google PlanetEmu

You need to edit the 'hide' section in the file /home/pi/.attract/noPornRoms.sh to unhide some of the roms as they are hidden by default (Xmen vs Street fighter and Street Fighter 3 etc)

I haven't tried PGM games, I can't say I've ever played one from that range. I have done some testing with Mame 106 (Advance Mame) and it's not pretty so far, loads of bugs in the emulation. I have moved onto Mame 172 as recommended by dee2er and everything seems much better. Currently working on a list and testing each game I add to ensure they work properly.

0.161 + updates it is, thanks mate

I have tried different image files on different cabinets and I always end up with a dark display. The 60 in 1 on the same machines is much brighter. Anyone have any ideas please?

do you have an earlier version with no video amp? If so you could add a video amp. Otherwise if you have a version of the baord that has the video amp it could be going bad (the video amp chip), I haven't seen it happen at all but that's the only thing I could think of that could make the display darker.

It was like that ever since I installed it. No idea if it has no video amp. How do I tell, and if it doesn't have one how do I add it.

      kick harness

      Hi,

I would need to connect the 6 buttons red harness provided with the JammaPi to the standard cps1 or cps2 kick harness I already have equipped in my cabs. What's the best way to do it ??

Also, is there a way to get pixel perfect resolution for each game ?

      Thanks !

I've put a quick release with Utilux plugs in my main JAMMA cab so I can swap between a few different types of kick harness easily (CPS2, NAMCO and RaspberryJAMMA). You could solder a 10 pin header to the RaspberryJAMMA kick harness so it plugs into the CPS1 header, you may also need to link the grounds in your cabs control panel as the RaspberryJAMMA kick harness doesn't carry ground. If you're desperate not to cut any wires in the cabs the easiest way is to get a xxx in 1 to JAMMA adaptor with Capcom kick harness plugs to put all the kick wires on the JAMMA edge.

The earlier versions of the software ran "pixel perfect" I think up to 3.1, maybe download 3.1 and give it ago. From the feedback I've recieved people didn't like the picture width changing with games, it looked just like if you swap boards without adjusting the monitor.
