Due to request - A few pics of the games.

Recommended Posts

Was asked to put a few pics up of the games I have in the house the moment, so here are a few, but by no means all.

Some general info:

1) These pics do not include 3 or 4 boxes in the storage room packed and ready for people.

2) I didn't take any pictures of any of the GC, PS2, Famicom or Xbox stuff (too difficult to get out).

3) Yes, they are immaculate game guides there for Starfox and Kirby (won't be for sale).

4) I didn't take any pictures of the consoles I have as I will wait until they are actually put out on display somewhere..

5) I won around 70 Saturn games over the past few days, plus more DC stuff which aren't pictured here due to not arriving yet.

6) I forgot to take pics of the 20 or so DC games I have lined up to play which are in a different room at the moment.

The N64 collection is nearing completion, so this means that I won't be buying anymore big sets like these in the near future (unless there are a few key titles all together).

The Saturn and Dreamcast sets are building so you guys can expect my doubles up for sale soon. There won't be much N64 stuff for sale once the doubles I have sell though.

My kids are the envy of all their friends, but my kids also know that they are only borrowing Dad's toys. :D

Sweet collection Hollo.

Its strange. When I was younger having OG titles didn't bother me. I just wanted to play the games whether they where pirated or OG.

Now I just love seeing my original carts and game CD/DVD's neatly multiplying on my bookshelf.

Yeah I know what you mean there Mamejay. There is just a certain something about having the actual game..... Knowing when to stop buying is the hard part though. :D

HOARDER!!!!!

:lol

I prefer the term 'enthusiast'! Ahh, who am I kidding... Hoarder I am!! :D

But... All the doubles, triples and quadruples will be sold. The wife will make sure of that! In fact with the N64 stuff, everything not in the plastic containers, or on that wooden rack will be sold. Having said that though, if I do have to keep a few doubles I won't mind too much. :)

Awesome, glad to see you've started this thread :)

Looking forward to seeing what doubles you've got of Saturn and DC stuff, mind I'm broke from all the other gear I've bought from you, so I might just go into the corner and cry instead :P

It might be a while before I have had a chance to go through everything, so your funds might have had time to replenish by then. :D

It's really cool with many of the Dreamcast and Saturn games though, as they have a heap of English in the menus and everything. Actually you're gunna love the Japanese Starfox you have on the way to you Mangled - the Japanese voice acting is such a laugh!

Can't wait :)

Hopefully my funds will be suitably recharged later on as well to help rid you of excess DC and Saturn games :D

  • 1 month later...

Things are starting to come together a little more with the collection.... I still have a heap to get - a few coming this week I can't wait to get though - my Metal Slug (Saturn version with memory card set) will be here in a few days - a way to substitute buying it for the AES.

There should be another photo here of more N64 stuff but I deleted it by accident.

The above boxes are stuff I haven't gone through or stuff waiting to be sent home. I have 4 more large boxes in the storage room downstairs too which has to be sorted as well.... Might have gone overboard a bit.

I also have all the 360, PS2 and more GC stuff in the lounge too which isn't pictured here. Should I buy more when I head to Tokyo in a few months? Yes I damn well should!! :D

Thanks guys. Yep it's coming along that's for sure, but there is still a heap of gear to come - put it this way, the trip back from Tokyo at the end of this year will not be easy.

That book of hucards is only temporary until I get something to hang them all up on the wall with. Although I planned to stop and only get a few more hucards, I have now decided to get another 50 or so before the PCE is done for me. I thought 50 was a nice number to stop at, but once I passed 60 I thought why not go for 100.

Those little arcade machines are 'paper arcade' models that you can DL off the net for free and just print out. I wanted a 720 as I miss the hell out of the one I have in storage back home in Aus. and it was a fun little project to do with the kid.

Thanks guys. I hope to get most of the bulk buying done soon. I will put some update pics once I get more sorted and bought.

Bit late now Stu! Still you are heading to the US right? I am sure there will be a fair few bargains to be had there.

It's a shame people on this side of the world generally treat their stuff like crap compared to the Japanese.

Absolutely, when I've bought stuff direct from Japan (or via Hollo!), the condition of the gear is fantastic. Absolutely nothing compared to 2nd hand gear in the west bar the enthusiasts like us.

Yeah I have to admit most of the gear I come across is in quite nice condition, although you do get a few disks here and there that are quite thrashed. I have had a few N64 carts that although working I simply threw out - same goes with some Saturn disks too.

Hey there wouldn't be any interest in Megadrive carts from Japan with you guys would there? I might be picking up around 100 or so next week if I get the time to meet a friend of a friend. I don't actually have a Megadrive here in Japan, so I might grab them to pass along to the members here.

OK, hopefully they meet expectations. According to the info so far, all carts are boxed and in good condition. I have hinted that I won't want to pay more than 200 or 300 yen per cart if they are in good condition, so we'll see how it goes.

I would be too, but I'm broke -- well, my cash for the next couple of months until x-mas is pre-spent on some arcade gear so I can finally finish my Astro and get the cocktail done before x-mas as well. I'll be very jealous of the other AAs getting bargains, MD stuff can be expensive in Japan, very envious of the bulk lots Hollo's getting :)

Yep, MD carts (boxed) in the used places usually sell for about 400 or 500 a pop for the average games and sometimes more if they are the sort after ones. Fingers crossed they are worth while - I don't wanna count my chickens just yet...

If I do manage to grab these ones they'll all be passed on guys. I have too many other things to get before I start looking into MD stuff as well, but the chance for a private bulk buy doesn't come along often.

The great thing is that I have put the word out at work since getting into the retro consoles, and that word is getting around!
