New Standup Trouble

Question

Hey guys, I got this machine off a mate who had it given to him by a asian kid in his street.

I am new to this all and when i pulled the back off the standup it had a few plugs disconnected and im trying to get them in the right place to see if it starts up.The plugs that were disconnected were the ones on the side wall that go form the chassis to the little white box and one from the bottom box in the middle pic also to the white box as well as i would say it is the main power cord which comes from the top of the machine where the on/off switch is. I plugged them into the white box but it wont turn on. Also I would like to know if it is a jamma style machine and if it has a arcade monitor in it, on the back of the monitor it says hitachi screen.....Also it doesnt have a standard australian power plug sio i went to tandy and bought a converter. Is this the right way to go about it? I took a few pics to help. any help will be greatly appreciated

The monitor: Yes, that is an arcade monitor.

The plug: the adaptor is the right way to do it. BUT, those things do not convert voltage. Make sure the unit can handle 240V before turning it on.

The harness: Looks like it could be JAMMA (power looks to be on the correct pins) but would need a better pic of the harness to tell.

Getting it working: Start at the game board (on the right of the first pic), see the big red and black wires on the right of it, follow them down to the power supply. This will have 2 wires going in, both marked AC...follow those, they should lead to a fused switch to turn the unit on. (...and then to a transformer, but thats irrelevant)

Thanks for your help mad mike, I have ended up changing my mind and I think I will convert this machine into a mame machine. I have a computer that will go straight in that is just collecting dusk so I may as well put it to good use. So looks like i will gut all the stuff out, Does anyone buy the stuff? is it worth anything? Also I was looking at ozstick.com.au and I saw the jpac keyboard encoder and the arcade vga video card for arcade monitors. Do I need them both? to get my mame machine going in it? Thanks again
