What to do...cabinet question

Recommended Posts

Ok, so I am going to be putting a little money into my cabinet. But, I have another option that I can take also and want to know what you guys would do.

My current cab is a upright with 15k nanao monitor .

I have been looking online and have been tempted to get one of the Cyber Lead cabinets that are available from Highway Entertainment.

http://www.highway.net.au/parts/arcade_cabinets/9328_5.html

The Cyber Lead cabs are $326.00 (Damn USD exchange rate) but come with 15/24k monitor that is 29" and are sit down so a bit more comfortable.

So I can either get another part for my current cab. Or put that money towards one of these Cyber Lead cabs.

The work left on my current cab is to build a mame computer, buy an arcade VGA and J-Pak, get the monitor chassis repaired and hope the monitor is ok. With the Cyber Lead the chassis and monitor are working already so no need to worry about that.

What do you think?

Either way the cab will be a mame cab.

What they said.

Even if you need to spend $100 or so on chassis repairs (says it shakes) thats still a bargin. Just a word of warning, if the marks on the screen are noticeable consider passing on it. Screens are a bugger to get hold of. You can get the tubes, but need to change the yoke over before it will work.

I though Joey had a solution for the Nanao CRT yokes now? Or am I missing some other part of the problem here?:unsure
