Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum, so please be gentle ;)

Im interested in buying a pinnie, but would like to buy one that needs repair/restore.

Any ideas where u can buy pinnies, that need a bit of work...

I noticed most pinnies out there are either working/restored already....

I need something to do with my spare time :)

Cheers Angelo

Hi Angelo, even if you buy a fully working pinny it will still take up all your spare time .If your not playing it you will be fixing it and if your not fixing it you will be looking for something to fix on it.Thats what Im like anyway:lol

Just watch ebay quite often machines come up needing a bit of work.Usually at a decent price too.

Not true (sorry)...I had a data east simpsons for around 5 years and never had to fix it or have someone to come around. Also had a starwars data (which i i sold to you bretty) and had that for a few years without problems...Maybe i was lucky? I think if you get a good pinball from the start, and it's played for home use, maybe once a year something will go wrong if your unlucky. Buying a pinball is like buying a car, there's always tell signs of abuse which sellers can't hide. Yes ebay seems to be cheap but if you don't know the seller you can get a surprise (bad one)...If you can, try and source a pinball that you can actually see and play and if not then try ebay.

:lol

If you want to but one that needs repair, there are plenty around. Look in the trading post, ebay or even your local paper. However everyone else does these things to so get in early. I have to agree with Bretty, especially if you buy an older pin you will need to get your self the manual, check out the repair sites and be prepared to spend some hours on the things. I spent a heap of time on my SMDM recently(internal) and everything was running smooth. Didn't play it for 2 or 3 months, turn it on an dnow one of the pop bumbers is playing up. Just like that. Hasn't been moved, not played, stored clean dry enviroment. Just decides to break. :unsure

Anyway, have a look at wottos site when its back for resotration tips.
