Starting a thread on this game..Played a few tonight and forgot how quick it is..both in game play and overall length of game..Doesn't take long to rack up a big score and doesn't take long to die either ( would of been a big earner for vendors I reckon time played/money spent) plus with so many stages woud of been heaps of continues..

Good quick game..hard to dodge enemy fire (well i find it difficult compared to most games ) and firepower takes a bit of thinking...

Well cracked 714,050 tonight..

That is the question...looks like your missile and homings are your best bet for earlier screens but then you think you will run out (not unless you are kick arse) each boss requires a certain weapon but those two will help heaps in the ealier screens..clusters are good if can manage the power ups..I find missile better but thats my style of playing laying under the enemy and letting them have it.(careful when dodging form the side as they shooit sideways ) .just go missiles then homings..When you get better try some clusters in the earlier ones they may be better for latter bosses...Busters plain suck unless you build em up..that my 20 cents

I'm really enjoying this game yet still sucking! I've really got to get a joystick hooked up to play shooters as keyboard is just too difficult to be manouverable enough to avoid bullets.

I just got in trouble for playing it here at work (it's the quiet period leading up to Christmas already here). :sleep

Might do some Lode Runner again as that doesn't require pounding away on the firebutton/key and getting the bosses attention. :D

Hmm Joystick works...lode runner is a classic still trying to work out how to bury people..you need to mame something or buy a !000 in in one PCB and play beyond the keyboard...Its all about hte sticks! Joysticks!

Hey shock goood you are stil playing after you got all that gold on your IJ....goood work mate hope we are siill worthy....

You know I've had my mame cab on maybe 3 times in the past 2 months and every time was when people were over. I really want to get back into it but I've been focusing my spare time on the Indy. I reckon another 3 hours and the playfield will be all done which would make it about 45 hours of work. I am not a skilled handyman so I don't work quick:) I've got to start on the cab decals next but I will make an effort to get some game time in. I might set a goal to score 1 mill on Sky Soldier.

*I also want to get back into Twin Cobra and mmmm maybe some Black Tiger

Since moving I haven't been able to do anything to my 20" lowboy. I've still got to get the control panel made up, get a jomac chasis and hook it up, wire the sticks and buttons upto my spare computer with the keyboard encoder I've got (one of the ultimarc ones) and get the marque made for it.

I've sort of been putting it off till christmas so I'll have the time to put into it and the minister of finance allows me to buy myself a few christmas presents. :)

I think it's time to mod my computer desk (it's actually a crappy old dining table) so it's got joystick and buttons. :evil
