Anyone bought a 3rd Party Wii Zapper?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone here has bought a Wii Zapper or the like? :unsure

Firstly, I'm not a big fan of paying over $20 for a piece of plastic that merely holds the Wiimote and or nunchuck. I did a quick look on Ebay and found that there's a multitude of 3rd party 'guns' and was wondering if anyone has got one, or an opinion of any of them.

I'm looking for one that holds the Wiimote and has a trigger that connects to the B button. After playing several hours of Res Evil my index finger is cramping up with the small layout of the Wiimote, and the constant 'shooting'.

have tried a 3rd party zapper, Found it uncomfortable and more like a typical control!

I prefer the freedom of the Wiimote and Nunchuk with a good length of cord between. Harder to lounge about and play games with the zapper, I felt that I needed to always be upright straight on at the screen, gun ready and pointed.

Just my opinion, but I probably wont buy one.

Thanks for the dealextreme link, much better price than going through ePay. I've had a quick look and decided that I will stick with using the freehand WiiMote and nunchuck combo for the meantime. I was wishfully hoping that there would be some kind of auto-firing contraption that would help in firing, and ease up on my cramped index finger.

I changed the controller settings to use Zapper, and reloading using the nunchuck is much better than using the Wiimote.

I've only got through RE0 and half of RE1, but the entire on 'rails' has worn off and Im starting to enjoy it. I thought that it was a crap House of the Dead, but now the locales and storyline make up for the simplistic gameplay. Bosses are annoying and lengthy, hence the reason I need a comfortable auto-firing gun!
